Since my family received our first computer (Compaq Presario running Windows 98 SE), I have spent a lot of time learning how to fix our computer. I spent hours on the phone with Customer Support and surfing the net for helpful articles on how to fix an issue. That was how you learned to keep your computer running before there were YouTube videos to follow. I learned to identify error codes, slow computer performance, malware removal, stuck CDs/floppy disks and install video/audio software. From there I learned more from using computers, taking classes and being that "Nice Guy" in the residence hall in college, at work or the next door neighbor that you reach out to for help.
I have gotten pretty good at resolving tech issues because I have the patience that most end up losing when tech goes wrong.
